Introduction

Dr. Anil Daxini is an experienced Cardiologist, trained in India and the USA.

Education & Training

Dr Daxini began his medical education at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (India) where he graduated in 1984 with an MBBS. He remained at King Edward Memorial Hospital where he also completed a Diploma in Venerology and Dermatology and in 1990 graduated an MD in General Medicine and Therapeutics.

Dr. Daxini pursued his clinical training in Cardiology at the General Hospital, Mumbai (India) as Registrar in the Intensive Coronary Unit and a year later again as Registrar in the Intensive Coronary Unit at Lokmanya Tilak Medical College (Sion Hospital), Mumbai (India). In 1993 he took up the position of Physician at the Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit at the Cumballa Hill Hospital and Heart Institute, Mumbai (India).

Experience

In 1994 Dr. Daxini moved to the USA and took up the position of Resident in Internal Medicine at Cornell University Medical College, New York (USA) where he remained until 1997. It was during his time in New York he also received an Excellence in Research Award from Cornell University.

After completing his Residency at Cornell University Dr. Daxini returned to India where he founded his own clinic, ‘Daxini Heart Centre,’ in Mumbai (India). He has also worked at Fortis Hospital, Mumbai as Consultant Physician and is the Assistant Professor of Medicine at Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College, Mumbai (India).
