Introduction

Dr Jeeve Kanagalingam is an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon at The ENT Clinic in Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. He is an Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon with 24 years of clinical experience in some of the best ENT hospitals in the world, including 12 years in the United Kingdom and a year in Australia. He provides Specialist ENT care to adults and children.

Education & Training

Dr Jeeve Kanagalingam studied pre-clinical medicine at the University of Cambridge as a Chevening Scholar and then received his medical degree from the University of Oxford, UK in 1996. He continued his postgraduate training in Otolaryngology in London, training at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, the Royal Marsden and Charing Cross Hospitals. He received the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in 2006 and was awarded the Gold Medal.

In 2007, Dr Jeeve continued his advanced training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. He has also gained advanced training in Laryngology on a Singapore Government Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) programme at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. Dr Jeeve led the Head and Neck Service at Singapore’s Tan Tock Seng Hospital from 2008-2012 and from 2012-2017, he was the Visiting Head and Neck Surgeon to Johns Hopkins Singapore International Medical Centre.

Surgical Skills

Dr Jeeve has treated complex head and neck cancer cases including complex tumours of the thyroid, oral cavity, salivary gland, throat (larynx and pharynx) and nose (sinonasal). He is skilled in the use of ultrasound, lasers, minimal access surgery and nerve-integrity monitoring. He is also trained in advanced robotic surgery and was one of the two-man team to perform the first transoral robotic surgery (TORS) case in TTSH for oropharyngeal cancer.
