Introduction

Dr. Nuhu Noel Hamidu Naabo is a Consultant General Surgeon and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery, School of Medicine University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho (Ghana). He has practiced medicine for over fifteen years in various health centres across several regions of Ghana.

Education & Training

Dr. Naabo started his medical education at the School of Medical Sciences (KNUST), Kumasi where he graduated in 2006 earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. After graduating he took up the position of House Officer at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where he trained as Senior House Officer, Medical Officer, Resident in Surgery and finally Senior Medical officer until 2013.

Experience

In 2013 Dr. Naabo moved to Tamale Teaching Hospital as Specialist Surgeon and then returned to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital maintaining his position as Specialist Surgeon from 2015-21. From 2021 until now Dr. Naabo is the Consultant General Surgeon at Ho Teaching Hospital.

Teaching

Dr. Naabo has been active in teaching since 2014 when he started lecturing in Surgery at the School of Medicine, University for Development Studies (Tamale). Since 2021 he has been Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (Ho).
